  School Buses

Bus transportation for students provided by AlHoda Schools is the safest form of transportation to and from the school. All students will have assigned seats. It is based on pick up points in transportation zones. To ensure the safety of our students, parents should carry “watch” responsibilities so that young children have an adult overseeing their safety at the assigned bus stops. Extenuating circumstances requiring a bus change must be submitted in writing and approved by the principal. This notice must be given to the teacher upon the student’s arrival at school.

Note:
The school must have a name listed on the information card filed in the office or a note signed by the parent in order to release the child to anyone other than the parent/guardian

School Bus Regulations

For the purpose of the safety of our students, please abide by the following school bus regulations:

  1. Bus routes are predetermined by the school and must be adhered to.

  2. Students are not allowed to use the school bus except after paying the bus fees.

  3. School bus student card is received by parent after paying the bus fees.

  4. The school is responsible to bring students registered in the bus service to school and return them back to their homes after the school day at the address written in the bus application and according to the route specified by the school administration. In case bus cannot access the student’s address for any reason, bus will pick up and leave student at the closest point to his/her residence.

  5. Students shall be delivered and received at the bus door. The bus supervisor may not leave the vehicle under any circumstance.

  6. Student’s parent/guardian must be waiting to pick him//her up upon the bus arrival to the specified address. Otherwise, the supervisor will have to return student to the school and parents must pick up their child from the school.

  7. Students are not allowed to ride any bus other than the bus assigned to them.

  8. Students must wait for bus at the designated pick up point at least five minutes before the specified pick up time. If the bus doesn’t find the student waiting, it will leave, and the parent/guardian will be responsible to bring student to school.
  9. Students are not allowed to ride or get off the bus except in the pre-designated locations.

  10. If you have any complaints regarding the bus service, please do not communicate them with the driver. Kindly notify the supervisor in writing and she will in turn communicate them to the school management.

  11. The bus supervisor applies the School’s system and implements the management instructions. Please cooperate to bring order and security to our children and deal with her and the driver courteously.

  12. If a student commits any violation to the bus rules or any improper behavior such as not responding to the supervisor’s orders, his/her parent/guardian will be notified. If the violation is repeated, student will be deprived from riding the school bus.

  13. If the student deliberately brings about any damage to the school bus, any repair will be at the expense of the student according to the bill sent to the student parent/guardian. If the damage is repeated, the student will pay the cost of repair and his/her case will be escalated to top management. The school bus is an extension of the classroom and school behavior.

School Bus Safety Tips

Students are to comply with proper conduct measures while riding the school bus. Disruptive behavior on buses or at bus stops may result in loss of bus-riding privileges and/or other disciplinary measures. Parents are encouraged to remind their children of acceptable behavior on a school bus. As a parent, you can help ensure our students arrive to and from school safely each day by practicing the following school bus safety tips:
  • Be sure your child arrives at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.
  • When the bus approaches, remind your child to stand at least 5 giant steps (ten feet) away from the curb and line up away from the bus.
  • Students riding a bus to school must be on time. It is recommended that students be at their stop no earlier than five minutes before regular pickup time.
  • Never run after the school bus if it has already left the bus stop.
  • Never run in front of or behind the school bus to pick up something that your child dropped.
  • Make sure you tell your child never to get on the bus until it has completely stopped.
  • After the bus stops and the door opens, ask your child to take firm hold of the handrail and get onto the bus.
  • Ask your child to never push another student while getting on or off the bus.
  • All students riding the bus should go directly to a seat and sit quietly to allow the bus driver to concentrate on driving safely.
  • Students should never place any part of their body through the bus window.
  • When outside of the bus, make sure your child is aware of the danger zones and is always within sight of the bus driver. The Danger Zone is a 10-foot wide area on all sides of a school bus -- an area where children are in the most danger of being hit. Children should be taught to stay 10 feet away from a school bus (or as far away as they can) and never go behind it. They should be told to take five giant steps in front of the bus before crossing so the driver can see them.
